Story of an alarm system repair

When nature makes its way, or why is it important to perform alarm system maintenance?

Corroded alarm system battery pole

There are embarrassing situations when we are helplessly standing by the keypad of our alarm system, which shows nothing on its display. Even though we try to silence the screaming siren, we are powerless, the system does not respond to any treatment attempts. It stopped.

Impossible situation. And the neighbours are already signalling very tense to stop the siren, turn off the alarm system.

But it's completely crazy, it doesn't respond to anything.

This is indeed an unpleasant situation, but these cases can be avoided with proper maintenance and periodic alarm system inspection.

As you can see in the photo, a loose battery connection can cause serious annoyance in a year or two. Not only because power supply problems are among the typical faults in alarm systems, but also because the battery can fail prematurely, which can result in extra operating costs if replaced prematurely.

With periodic, professional maintenance, will our alarm system be operational for an extended period of time and get rid of the risk of “why right now” deteriorating? Because it will surely go bad at the most unpleasant time, this is Murphy's Law!

A keypad failure can also lead to a complete shutdown

Nature still dominates the Earth today. The wildlife wants to stay alive, and sometimes the trace of life strikes its head in the most impossible places. Spiders and insects often pose a danger to the technical equipment, sometimes even a complete failure can be caused by the cobweb, as well as other side effects and wet contaminants. Surprisingly, it can even cause a short circuit in a severe case.

Regular maintenance of the alarm system can also prevent such problems.

Wasps attack - smoke detectors in danger

In another case, the wasps moved into the socket of a smoke detector, although their oxygen supply may not have been the best because they died with their mass, they

could spend their last days in pleasant warmth.

The system has indicated that there is a problem and the detector socket replacement was inevitable. Virtually the wildlife has contaminated the device so much that it had to be replaced.
